1:20 pm - Riverside Anti-War Protest

Join us for a peaceful demonstration

FRIDAY, MARCH 18, 2005
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

University & Iowa
Riverside [map]

To Protest the 2nd Anniversary of the Illegal
Invasion & Occupation of Iraq!

Join hundreds of your fellow community members who are outraged with
the continued Bush quagmire in the Middle East. Help us protest the
war on the poor both abroad and at home.

This event is organized by Riverside Area Peace & Justice Action
(RAPJA) and is endorsed by this coalition:

UCR Student Coalition for Peace & Human Rights
Democrats of Greater Riverside
Social Actions Committee of the UUC
Green Party of Riverside
International Socialist Organization (ISO)
Citizens' Action for Peace (CAP), Redlands

This demonstration will be a peaceful but boisterous protest of the
Bush Agenda. Bring drums, noisemakers, signs, etc. Tell your friends
and bring a carload. We need to show Riverside, and the world, that
most Americans no longer support George Bush's Iraq policies.

Saturday, March 19 @ 10:00 AM. We will be carpooling to Los Angeles to
participate in the large march and rally sponsored by ANSWER-LA. We
will leave from the parking lot of the Hispanic Bookcase, 1345
University Ave. [map] at 10:00 AM sharp!. Try to arrive by 9:45 AM. If
you can offer a ride or need information, call Richard at (951)

Were going to be organizing a collective meeting within the next few weeks! Theres the A-Cafe in Orange coming up this Saturday, 22nd and before that the inaguaration protest in LA on Thursday. Were trying to set up car pools to both of these events, so please pass along the information and get back to me. A lot of positive and constuctive organizing has been going on the last 3 or 4 months through out the Southern California area, its time we join in. 11:13 am - THINK TANK!

So im sure alot of you know what a Think Tank is.. but maybe some of you dont... So here it is.

Think tanks get used alot, and they have different meanings... corperation use think tanks as a group of thinkers who figure out something for them, Governments use think tanks to watch groups (watch dog groups) or build laws or so on so on so on.

We (well... the few of us I know who do think tanks) do em this way...

We think of a project, and we pick a amount of time. and we focus absolute all of our time tell the dead line to do it. The project becomes priority number one, and nothing else gets in the way.... A think Tank.

its allways fun having a all nite think tank trying to figure something out... tons of coffeee and takeout and just fucking bordom... ARG!

But yeah... an idea of what can be think tanked is Food Not Bombs start up.

I want to start the A Cafe for out here.... So far several other regions are getting a few started.

Im thinking that next weekends meeting we'll bring down some of the zine library, and some tea and coffee. So if anyone wants to try to dumpster some bread, or any juice or anything, or bring some tea packets that would rock!

1:56 am - SCAF (southern california anarchist federation)

Hey Everyone!

This is cory!

So, I thought id make a post on the Southern Calirfornia Anarchist Federation.

I saw alo tof you sounded interrested in alot of anarchistic ideas, if you visit http://anarchistfederation.com or .org (thats the SCAF site, hosted by mediadissent.com), you can read posts for upcoming events, actions taken, and just general news... The site depends on user participation, so sign up! and post!

ALSO! (and this is my favorite part were working on) Theres the Library! It has lots of reading meterial in there. I am adding some green anarchist stuff soon, and theres stuff on anarchist thory and practice too.

Theres esseys by Emma goldman (she is one of the founding mothers of the Anarchist Femanist movement back in the 20' and earlier)... she kicked ass, and her stuff is great to read, not even boring. Theres allso some Kropotkin (phylosopher from the late 19th century).

Also you can add links... theres polls... Everything, like I said the site depends on user interraction. Plus its a good place to learn.

Also, if and when you all want and think youd want, you can have ROR added to the SCAF devisions.... Just an idea for the future. :)

Lots of Lovin to you all!
